2. Crossroads |
What arises will one day vanish so I am asking ,what does not change what is continuous, what is eternal, what transcends this human play What is a Quiet mind, love unconditional what keeps in balance the stars in the sky what is continuous, what is eternal where is our true home, who am I I let go of all these questions now and turn to silence for a reply and I am showered by a power that is vaster than the sky Songs of the ages ,light upon light carry our blessings into the night
When you adopt the viewpoint that all that exists within your circle of life is nothing but another part of you When you come to the conclusion that there is no one who exists, who is not a part of you You will wisely extend to yourself an unconditional love that will be the light of your day,the light of your night the light that lightens up this world of ours When you come to the crossroad where you can choose which road to take for the highest good of all when you stand at the seashore and your boat is ready to take of and sail to follow an inner call You will wisely extend to yourself an unconditional love that will be the light of your day,the light of your night the light that lightens up this world of ours

4. At A Time Like This

Today you revealed yourself to me telling stories of your inner and outer world You told me you are doing fine just fine , but the longing in your voice said : I want to be free There was grace sometimes, sometimes elation there was pain sometimes and hopelessness too I listened to you and I felt you so deeply and all I could say was : I love whatever you do but I wanted to say Stop the words now and open the window to your heart and let the spirit fly in and out ,out and in ... There was grace sometimes, sometimes elation there was pain sometimes and hopelessness too If you make friends with these guests, with all comings and goings you're at home in the moment embracing it all Stop the words now and open the window to your heart and let the spirit fly in and out, out and in... |
Come together in a circle here today to find the heart from where we love and where we pray from where we discover the endless source of grace from where we meet ourselves in each other in this place The past has done it's mission,it has brought us here today the past has done it's work for us forever the future is waiting at the crossroads patiently in this moment there is nothing that can keep away the tenderness and love that we share At a time like this when all is said and done and there is nothing to be lost or won at a time like this when grace comes showering down and all you can say is Haleluia You can let go now and rest in your breath you c an find out what truly matters the future is waiting at the crossroads patiently in this moment there is nothing that can keep away the tenderness and love that we share At a time like this when all is said and done and there is nothing to be lost or won at a time like this when grace comes showering down and all you can say is Haleluia

6. In Your Eyes
Eyes can reveal the unspeakable truth of existence and into eyes one sometimes can disappear. I have been so fortunate in my life to look into eyes that carried me through the hurricane into the heart of silence and further... this song wants to express this journey. |
Hello, dear friends, it's so good to see your face again... To see myself in you, and to find out what you have been up to
The flame that never dies the jewel without a prize the truth beyond all lies I mean the luminous inner light I see in your eyes The face of the eternal friend the song without an end the sky so open and wide I mean the luminous inner light I see in your eyes Just one look into your eyes now I'm forever falling into the silence inside The lighthearted walk alone when the longing has found a home in the heart of hearts it abides I mean the luminous inner light I see in your eyes Just one look into your eyes now I'm forever falling into the silence inside

7. Be Welcome
8. Forever Here
Rumis's poetry is an invitation to the heart of the lover of life who welcomes all home to themselves. This song is born out of a poem by Rumi ,that starts: Come, oh come who so ever you are... Even if you have broken your vows a thousand times Kavita is a poet of today and a friend.she wrote the part: And someday you will meet yourself at your own door to give your heart back to the self to the stranger who has loved you all your life |
Dedicated to and about Ramana Maharshi, a saint who lived in southern India whose inner silence and peace is still a blessing to this planet today more than forty years after he passed away. |
Be welcome here, be welcome here whoever you are, be welcome here even if you have broken your vows a thousand times or more be welcome here may you be in peace may you be at ease may you be free from all suffering and may you be in peace and may gods grace shower upon you and may you find the peace within and live your truth And you'll see the day will come when with elation you will greet yourself at your own door to give your heart back to yourself to the stranger, who has loved you all your life be welcome here ,be welcome here whoever you are ,be welcome here even if you have broken your vows a thousand times or more be welcome here |
He was loved he was adored regarded highly by all even worshipped as a messenger from above He was simple he was pure he was silent and vast he was an incarnation of love The mountain was his friend and his beloved his inspiration and soul he was one with the mountain and so is he now I am forever here He was lying on his deathbed his body was spent it was dying everyone knew People around him were sad because they thought when his body is gone he is gone too Where do you think I am going? The mountain is my home always Why do you believe I am leaving? I am forever here If you go and visit the mountain today and listen to the wind in the trees or now,if you look a little deeper into silence and embrace this moment with ease Can you feel the presence ,can you sense the grace? the hidden treasure within what never was born will never die! I am forever here

10. The Breeze At Dawn
In a fleeting moment,in a glimpse of something or someone one's heart can be penetrated and a life can be changed forever. This song celebrates such rare moments which reveal the vast inner sky in which they appear and the nourishment that comes from silence. |
This short poem of Rumi Has been Like a companion with me in the last few years (or maybe lifetimes) and when if appeared as a tune, I could not help combining it with "Be a light unto yourself" which were the last words that Buddha spoke. |
Evening sun a gentle breeze golden light reflected in trees we have fallen into a place where everything is music breath the air, drink the wine feel the breeze and see the light of the one through whose hands galaxies run like beads upon a string of love
Just one glimpse of the inner sky and the walls of desperation tumble down and we move with the spirit of kindred heart and goodness to all beings alive
there is so many ways to kneel down and kiss the ground in thankfulness
Watch the dust grains moving in the light near the window ,their dance is our dance though we rarely hear the inward music we're dancing to it anyway directed by the one who teaches us the pure joy of the sun our music master
Just one glimpse of the inner sky and the walls of desperation tumble down and we move with the spirit of kindred heart and goodness to all beings alive

The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you don't go back to sleep you must ask for what you really want don't go back to sleep people are going back and forth between the door sill where the two worlds meet the breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you don't go back to sleep |
